BFA Jr. Balloonist Summer Camp

The Balloon Federation of America (BFA) is hosting its 2011 youth camp in Albion, MI from July 17th-21st. The camp is an outreach program for teens ages 13-18 to participate in learning about hot air balloons. During the 5 day camp, the teens will have an opportunity to participate in tether balloon operations (weather permitting, under the supervision of certified pilots) and will be visiting balloon and aviation related sites.

The cost of the camp is $445 and includes lodging and food as well as all activities planned for the week. 1800SkyRide reached out to a BFA Youth Programs Committee Member inquiring about sponsoring a teen's tuition for the week and learned of 4 young adults who wanted to attend, but due to the financial commitment, were unable to.

1800SkyRide is now sponsoring all 4 young adults for the 2011 Summer Youth Camp! We are very happy to have the opportunity to support the next generation of balloonists and look to develop an ongoing relationship with the BFA's Jr. Balloonist Summer Camp Program!
